A graduate of SUNY Downstate Medical Center’s anesthesiology program, Dr. Elbaz served as chief resident during his final year—an honor reserved for top-performing physicians. He went on to complete fellowship training in pain medicine at the prestigious Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons/St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, widely regarded as one of the best programs in the tri-state area.
Dr. Elbaz’s career includes leadership roles such as Director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship Training Program at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, where he trained physicians in advanced pain management techniques. He currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Columbia University and is a member of the New York State Pain Medicine Committee.
